1. Who We Are

Auxo is an AI-powered growth intelligence platform for YouTube creators. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address via Clerk, our authentication provider.

YouTube Analytics Data

When you connect your YouTube channel via Google OAuth, we access your YouTube Studio analytics data (views, CTR, watch time, subscriber trends, video performance) using read-only scopes. We store this data to power AI-generated insights. We do not access, read, or modify your videos, comments, or channel settings.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including AI requests made, features accessed, and session activity, to improve our product and enforce fair usage limits.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Paddle. We do not store your credit card or payment details. Paddle provides us with subscription status and basic transaction metadata only.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Auxo Service
  • To generate personalised AI insights from your YouTube analytics
  • To manage your subscription and billing (via Paddle)
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • To send transactional emails (account updates, billing receipts)
  • To improve and develop new features

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • AI Infrastructure Providers — Auxo uses third-party AI services to generate insights, titles, roadmaps, and thumbnails. Your content context (such as video titles and channel analytics) may be included in requests to these services solely to generate your output. We do not share personally identifiable information with these providers beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.
  • Clerk — Authentication provider for account management.
  • Paddle — Payment processing and subscription management.
  • Supabase / Railway — Database and hosting infrastructure.

5. Google API Scopes

We request the following read-only OAuth scopes from Google:

  • youtube.readonly — to access channel metadata and video list
  • yt-analytics.readonly — to access YouTube Studio analytics

We never use these scopes to post, modify, delete, or interact with your channel in any way. Your use of Google APIs is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and YouTube analytics data are permanently deleted within 30 days. You can disconnect your YouTube channel at any time from the dashboard, which immediately removes your stored OAuth tokens and analytics data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for YouTube data access (by disconnecting your channel)
  • Port your data in a machine-readable format

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token storage, and access controls. No system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (managed by Clerk). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
